A day does not go by where I am not reminded how amazing the staff at HOLA Recuperative Care is.

Rising to the occasion means something different when you are caring for homeless people that are leaving the hospital. It takes a different kind of employee.

We are an incredibly diverse group. Some of our employees have even experienced homelessness themselves; some are recovering from substance abuse. Those experiences make us a more a passionate and compassionate team. They foster an environment that allows someone in our care to be more accepting of the help we are trying to give.

It’s an undertaking to try to get someone to be able to trust you in ten days; to be open to working with complete strangers on healing your body and trying to find a life off of the streets. But, because of the employees we have at HOLA Recuperative Care, we make it work.
