Hilda Solis Supports Hospital Hero’s Helping the Homeless

Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis goes into the community to help the homeless and to support the hospitals that serve them.

Today, I was honored to share the stage with County Supervisor Hilda Solis and Avanthi Hospital’s CEO Joel Bergenfield as they recognized the brave accomplishments of the doctors, nurses, and staff at Community Hospital of Huntington Park (CHHP).

Community Hospital of Huntington Park and Supervisor Hilda Solis have worked together as innovative leaders in the fight to end homelessness by getting the hospital’s homeless patients into HOLA Recuperative Care’s 61 beds, where HOLA’s social workers routinely place more than 80% of the homeless patients into more permanent housing. Because of the support and foresight of Supervisor Hilda Solis and the County of Los Angeles, HOLA Recuperative Care is able to House, Heal, and Help the homeless.
